| HARMONY BOUQUET is a blend of lavender, sage, rose and vanilla. According to an article in the
Baylor University's MEDICAL CENTER NEWS, titled "Aromatherapy Eases Side Effects", this "Bouquet of Harmony" blend can alleviate the nausea,
stress and anxiety experienced by patients with cancer who are undergoing chemotherapy. The aromatherapy is a part of the "Healing Environment"
offered to oncology patients at Baylor University Medical Center. Other aspects of the program include meditation, relaxation exercises,
visualization, art, nature, music and humor. "The 'Bouquet of Harmony' flower essence blend goes from the skin directly to the brain,"
explains Lucy Aguirre-Kelley, an occupational therapist in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at Baylor University
Medical Center. "The patient takes three cleansing breaths, and within 17 seconds receives an overall feeling of relaxation." |
